The last model we see sometimes in typically the most mature companies is a renewal team that reports into sales that’s responsible for existing customer revenue, and a CSM team that reports to services.

Despite the different bosses, they’re tied together at the hip and work side by side. They collaborate. There’s a little bit of an issue around who does what, as well as duplicate work in some cases. But this seems to work really well in more mature or larger companies.
